Anima Flux is a cooperative metroidvania featuring two genetically enhanced soldiers, special agents of a theocratic dictatorship. Battle through hordes of mutants in a desolate, dystopian space city as you strive to save humanity’s last stronghold—if anyone is still alive. The sole human city on the space ark is under siege from a coordinated mutant invasion, prompting the totalitarian regime to deploy its elite troops to rescue the city and eliminate the threat.
Take control of these two elite soldiers and combine their unique abilities and skills to navigate through fierce adversaries. Approach challenges with bravery and fearlessness, as you can defy death by transferring your anima using advanced implant technology. Don’t let the fear of death consume you; the reality is even darker. This innovative twist on the genre transforms the classic metroidvania into an engaging couch co-op adventure.
As you progress, both characters will evolve differently, allowing for diverse gameplay experiences. Explore the grim environments of the space ark, rescue ambushed or critically injured partners, and face off against dangerous mutants while devising your own strategies for boss encounters alongside a friend. If your companion is unavailable, you can easily switch to single-player mode.
