Back: Fade is a full-motion video (FMV) live-action horror game, serving as the second installment in the Back series. Players will once again assume the role of protagonist Ren Xing, who finds himself in a new and peculiar journey after escaping the initial “Otherworld.” In this game, players will unravel the regulations governing this Otherworld, accompanied by other characters who provide mutual assistance. The narrative is influenced by the choices made during crucial moments, leading to diverse endings based on different decisions. Following his awakening in a hospital, Ren Xing discovers that his trials are far from over as he is unexpectedly thrust into a new “Otherworld,” this time accompanied by others. The gameplay involves multiple phases of evidence collection, requiring players to meticulously inspect and remember each clue, as these details are crucial for making informed decisions during life-or-death situations.
