Crypt Custodian is an engaging metroidvania/Zelda-like game centered around tidying up the afterlife. Players assume the role of Pluto, a playful cat who finds themselves in the afterlife’s palace after passing away. Following a brief and unfortunate encounter with the Afterlife Guardian, Kendra, Pluto is exiled from the palace and tasked with perpetual cleaning duties. Embark on an exploration of the expansive grounds surrounding the palace, combat creatures using a trusty broom, and acquire new skills to uncover more of the map.
Solve puzzles, unveil secrets, and strategize an infiltration plan to reenter the palace. Interact with and form bonds with fellow mischievous spirits residing outside the palace, learning about their demise and reasons for eternal banishment. Visit The Sinner’s Inn, a local haunt, to converse with encountered ghosts and enhance your equipment. Conquer puzzles, face formidable bosses, and cleanse dilapidated dungeons to acquire upgrades and abilities. Tailor your gameplay by combining upgrades and utilizing collected abilities to broaden your gaming experience.
