The kingdom of Myrtana has become embroiled in a devastating war. Invasions by orcish hordes have encroached upon human territories, prompting the king to urgently gather a substantial amount of ore for weapon forging. To ensure the kingdom’s defense against this imminent threat, a strict law has been enacted during these dark times. Offenders are sentenced to serve in the colossal penal colony of Khorinis, where mining operations extract the much-needed ore. The entire region, known as “the Colony,” is encircled by a formidable magical barrier—a two-kilometer diameter sphere that isolates the penal colony from the outside world. While the barrier permits passage from the outside in, once inside, escape becomes impossible. However, the barrier proved to be a double-edged sword. Seizing the opportunity, the prisoners initiated a revolt, resulting in the division of the Colony into three rival factions. The king, now compelled to negotiate for the vital ore rather than simply demanding it, finds himself in a precarious position. As fate would have it, you are thrust into this prison, crossing the barrier against your will. With your back against the wall, survival becomes paramount as you navigate the treacherous environment and forge volatile alliances. Only by doing so can you hope to eventually secure your freedom and escape this perilous predicament.
