Highwater is a whimsical 3D adventure game featuring an isometric turn-based puzzle-combat system, set in a flooded, post-apocalyptic world. In the midst of the Great Climate Catastrophe, the flooded region of Hightower serves as a safe zone between the devastated War Zone and the fortified city of Alphaville, where the wealthy reside behind massive walls. As Earth becomes increasingly uninhabitable and rumors of escaping to Mars circulate, protagonist Nikos embarks on a perilous journey, gathering companions along the way. From Hightower to the challenging border of Alphaville, facing insurgents and scavenging for supplies, Nikos and his friends strive to board the rocket in time. Despite the flooded Earth, the water offers a breathtaking view. With humor, determination, and camaraderie, Nikos and his companions explore the water-filled environment, aiming to evacuate to Mars for a fresh start. Players can freely navigate the vast waterways in their boat, explore diverse islands, encounter dangers, interact with inhabitants, gather resources, and fight for the opportunity to begin anew on Mars.
