GAME OVERVIEW ICARUS
ICARUS is a PvE survival game offering both Mission-based and persistent Open World modes for up to eight co-op players. Set on Icarus, a terraformed planet now deemed humanity’s greatest mistake, players must navigate a harsh wilderness. Prospectors descend from their orbital station to explore, harvest, craft, and hunt for resources while facing challenges such as toxic atmospheres, dangerous wildlife, apex predators, storms, and forest fires.
Strategic preparation is key, whether it’s securing oxygen sources, hunting for food, or gathering supplies for expeditions. The First Cohort of prospectors has access to mining licenses covering over 128 square kilometers of meticulously designed terrain across two maps (Olympus and Styx), featuring hidden caves and diverse biomes. Every element in the environment is interactive, from harvestable trees to voxel-minable rocks and hunt-able creatures. Players can tame mounts, craft advanced technology for resource extraction, and gear up for increasingly difficult trials ahead.
