Lotus Lantern: Rescue Mother is a roguelike top-down action game that draws inspiration from Chinese mythology. Players will follow the journey of Chenxiang as he endeavors to save his mother, Sanshengmu, after honing his martial arts skills under the tutelage of Sun Wukong. Sanshengmu, a celestial goddess, was imprisoned beneath Mount Hua for breaking celestial laws by giving birth to a mortal son named Chenxiang. With the aid of Sun Wukong and various immortals, Chenxiang navigated through numerous challenges, vanquished formidable foes, and ultimately reunited with his mother.
Various sect systems correspond to distinct combat styles, allowing players to create their own magical combat abilities by combining an assortment of magical treasures and cultivating numerous items. Each challenge presents new surprises for players to uncover. Throughout the game, players will encounter well-known characters from Chinese mythologies such as Sun Wukong, the Eight Immortals, Erlang Shen, and Nezha.
