In Rome, during the 4th Century AD, a significant shift in power dynamics occurred. The once influential Senate, plagued by corruption and diminishing authority, witnessed the unchallenged rule of Emperor Diocletian and his formidable army outside the eternal city. Desiring to reclaim their dominance, the Senate resorted to necromancy to bolster their strength, raising an army of undead and demons to combat the imperial forces. This treacherous act sparked a civil war within Rome, instilling fear among its populace. Year by year, the Senate’s summoned forces of undead gained control, subjugating both senators and the Roman citizens. Amidst this turmoil, an ancient gladiatorial school persisted in training soldiers for combat. However, their mission evolved to a noble cause: to liberate the city from the undead and invaders, restoring Rome to its former grandeur.
