Game Overview Archaelund
The Andorian Empire, which had united the entire human race for millennia, faced a devastating magical cataclysm that brought forth the Horrors from another world. Within a few days, the Empire and most of humanity were annihilated, leaving only a few hundred ships to escape to the remote island of Varannar, an imperial colony beyond the western ocean. The refugees endured hardships and attempted to rebuild their civilization, but they could never unite under the Imperial banner again. The newly formed Exiled Kingdoms carried the scars of the Fall, each kingdom affected in its own unique way. Varsilia, the most powerful and noble of the kingdoms, became fixated on preserving Imperial history and traditions. The Ilmarans embraced a new faith with fanatical zealotry, while the remnants of the Imperial Wizards in Thuram established a magocracy focused solely on arcane matters, leading to a decline into isolation. In the west, the Kingdom of Mercia emerged from the surviving Imperial Legions, establishing a nightmarish rule based on slavery and arbitrary discipline. These four kingdoms held irreconcilable views and ambitions, constantly plotting against each other and engaging in open clashes on the battlefield. It appeared that a perpetual cycle of war, famine, and misery would become humanity’s inevitable fate.
