Colonize is a unique blend of survival game and building strategy set during the 17th-century colonization period. It follows the story of a settlement in the New World and the challenges faced by early settlers. As players expand their cities, the game’s possibilities increase while conditions become more challenging, including weather variations, expedition opportunities, and ship sizes for trading with England. The game features six cities to populate: Roanoke, Plymouth, Bermuda, Boston, Williamsburg, and Providence.
Colonize focuses on building simulation, emphasizing economy, population group management, and city governance in an isometric classic style. Players gradually develop their settlement into a city-state, implementing building upgrades, new resources, laws, government structures, and city management features. It’s important to note that this information serves as a projected roadmap for Colonize development, with additional minor improvements and bug fixes planned.
