Introducing a retro-inspired twin-stick shooter reminiscent of classic titles from the past. “Son of a Gun” combines guns, blood, and gore into a nostalgic package that delivers intense action. This top-down shooter is brimming with bullets, bloodshed, and explosive encounters. Players can collect and manage an arsenal of guns and grenades to combat swarming insects, colossal robots, slimy creatures, and even space phantoms.
Choose from one of six unique characters and upgrade their abilities as you progress through the single-player campaign. When faced with overwhelming foes, you can utilize a prototype time-bending device to gain the upper hand. As “Son of a Gun,” an interplanetary mercenary for the Sons of a Gun organization, you are always called upon when firepower is essential and challenges must be met with force.
While enjoying a vacation on a tropical planet, you receive an urgent call from the SOAG Command Center. You will have access to an extensive selection of weapons across seven different classes, including pistols, shotguns, SMGs, rifles, plasma guns, sniper rifles, and rocket launchers, allowing you to define your own playstyle. Don’t overlook the grenades—choose from various types such as cluster, force, explosive, and implosive to enhance your combat strategy.
Prepare to battle across diverse biomes on distant planets, each presenting unique environments and challenges. Your missions may involve reaching target areas, unlocking base gates, downloading data from data pylons, or surviving relentless hordes of enemies.
