The original 1995 Star Wars: Dark Forces set a new standard for FPS games by offering players extensive movement options, interactivity, a wide array of items and power-ups, and immersive environments. In this pioneering Star Wars FPS title, players take on the role of Kyle Katarn, a former member of the Galactic Empire who becomes a mercenary working for the Rebel Alliance’s covert operations division. Tasked with infiltrating the Galactic Empire, Katarn uncovers the secretive Dark Trooper Project, a development that could bolster the Empire’s control over the galaxy unless Katarn and the Rebel Alliance intervene.
