The Alters is a bold sci-fi survival game with a compelling twist. You play as Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of a crash on a hostile, alien world. Alone and stranded, your only hope lies in building a new crew aboard your mobile base—but not in the usual way.
Using a mysterious substance called Rapidium, you create alternate versions of yourself—the Alters—each shaped by different pivotal choices from your past. With the help of a powerful quantum computer, you simulate these alternate life paths and bring them to life, forming a team of unique individuals who are all, in some way, you.
Each Alter possesses distinct skills, perspectives, and emotional complexities, creating both valuable assets and potential conflict as you manage the delicate social dynamics aboard the base. Survival hinges on your ability to navigate these relationships while also operating and maintaining your mobile outpost.
To keep the base running, you’ll need to venture into the planet’s harsh environment to gather essential resources like metals and organics. But danger awaits beyond your shelter: lethal anomalies, solar radiation, and the unforgiving elements all threaten your progress. Careful planning around the planet’s day-night cycle is crucial—every decision matters, and time is never on your side.
How To Install Instructions

- Once the transfer is finished, right click on the .zip (or .rar & .iso) file and click ‘Extract to The Alters’. To extract files use 7-Zip, which you can get from softwares.
- Open the extracted folder and run the application to start the game.
