In Warfare 1917, players can experience historical battles in the trenches of France, playing as either the British or German Army in a campaign of attrition. Utilize the first tanks used in war to dominate the battlefield, break enemy morale with fire support, and upgrade troops and fire support using command points. Custom battles can be set up with a selection of units, trenches, barbed wire, and land mines. Warfare 1944 allows players to choose between the U.S Forces or the Wehrmacht, deciding whether to liberate or defend France.
Engage in strategic battles across three lanes, completing objectives or wearing down enemies for a morale victory. Players have refined control over units, with options to use smoke, suppressing fire, and advance commands. Officers can call in air support and artillery barrages to eliminate entrenched enemies. Custom battles can be set up on chosen maps with selected units and fire support.
